Okay, question of the day...."What do you not want to see come out of the hopper?"
As I stated yesterday I NEVER want to see HSPUs come out. So, I fear JT and Diane.
When I do Diane or JT I feel like I have never worked out in my entire life. I feel like I just woke up from being in a coma for the last 5 years, lost all of my muscle mass, then a doctor shakes me awake, rolls a barbell with 225# over to the foot of my hospital bed, points to a spot on the wall for me to do HSPUs, and says "3,2,1 go!"
So, my fellow CF'ers....what makes you feel that way?
(after JT & Diane, then it would be Isabel, then Grace) ;)
Nobody showed for the 900 class so I decided to make up Diane. 18.39 rx'd. I effing hate HSPUs.
Pat:
JT and Diane are definitely wods I don't wanna see come up. Grace and Isabel however, I kind of enjoy in a sick, gasping for air, nauseous, dizzy, crossfit sort of way.
Gosh so hard to narrow it down... there are a handful of them i haven't done, so i can only imagine what they would be like. But Nancy is one that i have done that i dread. i have to think about what other ones would eat my lunch....
I LOVE HSPUs!!! Really, I do. I am not a big fan of push-ups...ever period. I cringe at the thought of a monumental number of pull-ups in a row that make it hard for me to work for the next couple days.
And although running is not hard it is tough on my knee, but I hate having short legs and rowing (right, Thomi?)...we need more length for more power.
I heart squats though and am sad to be stuck at work from 7am-8pm tonight........
From a different perspective, I hate seeing any workout with anything overhead. Not because I hate push presses, HSPUs, pull-ups, etc. but because I really, really miss doing them :-(
HSPU make me feel inadequate on so many levels......and my god do i hate SDHP, they aren't even hard but i would rather kick myself in the crotch than do those things!!!!!! if there is ever a workout with both of those together i will quit Crossfit and start doing P90X...
A sub 1:30 500m row would not only kill me, but it may not be possible for me. Usually strong rowing is the realm of the big dude, the 6' tall, over 200# dude. My 5'8" 175-180# frame was not built for rowing.
165-175-195-195-205-210 :-)
Not sure my pr wuz cuz I didn't write it down last time...or tap it in for that matter.
Now Pat:
I feel like we're being tricked into telling you what we don't want so you will get them to pop up in the foreseeable future. Ah uh. I'm not falling for it, but please no Barbara or Jackie.

Any workout that includes running and/or burpees

Does anyone remember this WOD for time:
30 Handstand push-ups
40 Pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods
60 Sit-ups
70 Burpees
This is one I would rather not see anytime soon....

Did yesterday's WOD at the Master Jet Base while enjoying the easy listening music of 2WD. That kind of music should not be allowed in a gym.

Jason..Oh...I forgot about SDLHP. Throw those in my bucket too!
Posted by: Penny | September 11, 2008 at 04:59 PM
Ahh, the sounds of yesterday and today...do NOT improve my times! I have the same problem, Yeti.
Posted by: Brian S | September 11, 2008 at 05:36 PM
Yeti, it's tough to work out to Jason Mraz' latest and the englis ver. of 99 red balloons! What about "you are the wind beneath my wings?

Rowing as hard as you can = agony.
Good call everyone....I forgot SDHPs!!!

315(f)/315/325/315(f)/225x3/225x3 obviously still a deficiency that will require more frequent practice
